Literary meetings in Art Schools
The General Directorate of Books and Reading Promotion launches a new edition of the reading animation program “Drawers of stories. Literary Meetings in Art Schools” for 2023. This program aims to publicize the work of the main comic authors, illustrators, cartoonists and cartoonists in our country, their creative process, their techniques, their references and the peculiarities of their professional practice. The activity consists of meetings or workshops with creators dedicated mainly to editorial illustration or comics.

how to live from the illustration and not die in the fall
Chat and workshop on experimentation and creativity in which we will walk in a spiral, from the abstract to the concrete and from the concrete to the abstract to finally return to the concrete, precise and determined. We will use techniques such as collage and other processes to develop procedures that will become our leap into the void. The idea is not to make anything concrete or finished image, but rather to experiment, generate ways of working, plant seeds so that you can later develop on your own. I always say, “in my workshops you are not going to take anything concrete under your arm, the idea is to take work proposals, awaken creativity, generate methods and get the mind going by working throughout the workshop in an agile way and doing lots of exercises".

Encuentros literarios en Escuelas de Arte
La Dirección General del Libro y Fomento de la Lectura pone en marcha una nueva edición del programa de animación lectora “Dibujantes de historias. Encuentros literarios en Escuelas de Arte” para 2023. Este programa tiene como objetivo dar a conocer la labor de los principales autores de cómic, ilustradores, dibujantes e historietistas de nuestro país, su proceso creativo, sus técnicas, sus referentes y las peculiaridades de su práctica profesional. La actividad consiste en encuentros o talleres con creadores y creadoras dedicados principalmente a la lilustración editorial o al cómic.

CHARLA Y TALLER SALTO AL VACÍO
como vivir de la ilustración y no morir en la caída
Charta y taller de experimentación y creatividad en el que caminaremos en espiral, de lo abstracto a lo concreto y de lo concreto a lo abstracto para finalmente volver a lo concreto, preciso y determinado. Nos valdremos de técnicas como el collage y otros procesos para desarrollar procedimientos que se convertirán en nuestro salto al vacío. La idea no es hacer nada concreto o imagen acabada, si no más bien experimentar, generar modos de trabajo, plantar semillas para que luego desarrolléis por vuestra cuenta. Siempre lo digo, “en mis talleres no te vas a llevar nada concreto debajo del brazo, la idea es llevarse propuestas de trabajo, despertar la creatividad, generar métodos y poner en marcha la mente trabajando a lo largo del taller de manera ágil y haciendo muchos ejercicios”.
